Please read these instructions carefully before your appointment. Following proper pre-care helps prepare your skin and gives you the best opportunity for a successful procedure and healing process.

EXPECTATIONS

Permanent cosmetics are not intended for someone seeking absolute perfection. Every face has natural asymmetry, and permanent cosmetics are performed on living, healing skin. While every effort is made to create beautiful, balanced results, exact symmetry, color retention, and healed results cannot be guaranteed.

All initial permanent cosmetic procedures include two visits: the Initial Procedure and one Perfection Visit, typically performed approximately 6–8 weeks later. Some clients may require additional touch-ups due to skin type, healing, pigment retention, lifestyle, or desired results. Additional visits, when needed, are subject to an additional fee.

Fresh permanent cosmetics will initially appear darker, sharper, and more defined than the final healed result. Color will soften and change as the skin heals.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please arrive makeup-free in the treatment area.

Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment and avoid caffeine the day of your procedure when possible.

Please arrive well hydrated and eat normally before your appointment unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider.

Avoid unnecessary aspirin, NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, herbal supplements, or other products that may increase bleeding when medically appropriate. Never discontinue a prescription medication or blood thinner without approval from your prescribing healthcare provider.

Please inform me before your appointment of any medications, medical conditions, allergies, recent procedures, or changes in your health that could affect your treatment or healing.

Avoid sunburn, tanning, or irritation in the treatment area before your appointment. Procedures cannot be performed over compromised, irritated, or actively inflamed skin.

SKIN TREATMENTS & COSMETIC PROCEDURES

Avoid retinoids, strong exfoliating acids, and aggressive exfoliation around the treatment area for approximately 2 weeks before your procedure, unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.

Avoid microdermabrasion and other aggressive exfoliating treatments near the procedure area for approximately 2 weeks prior.

Chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and other significant skin-altering procedures should be completed well in advance of permanent cosmetics. Please contact me before your appointment if you have recently undergone one of these treatments.

If you have recently received Botox, dermal filler, laser treatments, facial procedures, or cosmetic surgery, please notify me before your appointment so we can determine whether sufficient healing time has passed.

BROW CLIENTS

Please do not wax, thread, tweeze, or reshape your brows for 7 days prior to your appointment. I will shape and map your brows during your procedure.

Please discontinue brow tinting or brow lamination before your appointment and allow the brow area to return to its natural condition.

Avoid electrolysis in the brow area for at least 5 days before your procedure.

If you use prescription or cosmetic brow-growth products, please notify me before your appointment.

EYELINER CLIENTS

Please arrive without contact lenses and bring your glasses if needed.

Do not wear eye makeup to your appointment.

If you use eyelash-growth products such as Latisse or similar serums, please notify me before your appointment so appropriate pre-procedure instructions can be provided.

LIP BLUSH CLIENTS

Beginning approximately 7 days before your appointment, gently exfoliate and moisturize your lips so they are healthy, smooth, and free of excessive dry or flaky skin.

If you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes simplex outbreaks around the lips, please speak with your healthcare provider before your procedure regarding whether antiviral medication is appropriate for you. Antiviral medications are commonly used to manage herpes simplex outbreaks.

Do not undergo lip blushing if you currently have an active cold sore, open wound, infection, or significant irritation around the lips.

TOPICAL ANESTHETIC

A topical anesthetic may be used before and/or during your procedure to help minimize sensation. Individual response to topical anesthetics varies, and complete numbness cannot be guaranteed.

Although uncommon, allergic or adverse reactions to topical anesthetic products are possible. Please disclose any known allergy or previous reaction to lidocaine or other topical anesthetics before your procedure.

CHILDREN & GUESTS

Please arrange childcare whenever possible and avoid bringing children or unnecessary guests to your appointment. Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, and a calm, distraction-free environment allows me to provide the safest and most precise service possible.

FINAL REMINDER

Please contact All About The Brow before your appointment if you are unsure whether a medication, medical condition, skincare product, recent cosmetic treatment, or other circumstance could affect your procedure.

Following these instructions does not guarantee a specific healed result, but proper preparation and aftercare can significantly support the healing process.
